Alumni Lunch Series
The Alumni Lunch Series provides an opportunity for current students to meet with alumni during a series of several lunches throughout the semester.
Lunches will feature an alumnus or alumna, with an effort to ensure that a variety of career fields be represented throughout the semester. These lunches will offer students direct access to alumni who can answer questions regarding a specific career area/field. The lunches also provide alumni with an opportunity to connect with and assist current undergraduate students as they explore and familiarize themselves with a career area.
Lunches are held in the CASMP office in Caldwell Hall on the Ag Quad and are limited to eight to ten students per alumnus or alumna. If you are interested in participating in the Alumni Lunch Series please contact CASMP staff at 607-255-0842 or casmp@cornell.edu
Young Alumni Connection Program
Twice a year, the Cornell Alumni-Mentoring Program provides opportunities for students to connect with alumni mentors who have graduated within the last ten years. Each event features two or three young alumni who provide advice on a particular topic or issue. Past topics have included "Opportunities Beyond the Classroom", "The Path to Campus Leadership", and "Preparing for Graduate/Professional School". If interested in participating, please contact CASMP staff at 607-255-0842 or casmp@cornell.edu. Note: CASMP is able to subsidize the cost of food, travel, and lodging for young alumni participants.
Networking Receptions
These events seek to unite experienced alumni mentors with current student participants. The reception serves as a forum for alumni mentors to interact with each other and with Cornell undergraduate students providing opportunities to share career-related information and advice. To date CASMP networking receptions have been held in Ithaca and New York City. In 2009, CASMP plans to host additional receptions in the Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. areas.
