Alicia is a 1983 graduate of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She joined the Cornell University staff in 1985 where she served as a financial aid counselor and as assistant director of scholarships in the Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment. In 1991 she became Cornell's first director of minority alumni programs in the Office of Alumni Affairs. In September 2003 she was named the director of the Cornell Alumni-Student Mentoring Program.

Candace majored in Human Development in the College of Human Ecology. Upon graduating in 2003, she attended Teachers College, Columbia University, where she earned a Master's Degree in English Education. Prior to working at Cornell, Candace taught high school English in the Bronx, New York and in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Alex is currently a junior Applied Economics & Management major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Upon graduating college, he plans to work as an accountant or obtain a law degree. Alex joined the Cornell Alumni-Student Mentoring Program as a freshman and is currently serving on its Student Advisory Committee. He also serves as an AEM Ambassador, a financial accounting tutor, and writes blogs for Cornell University.
